Refined and racy in equal measure, the new Round-1 Heures et Minutes Bi Retrograde ups the brand’s technical cachet with an ingenious bi-retrograde movement with much sophisticated sex appeal to spare.
Evoking the look of vintage racecar registers, the watch flaunts two bi-retrograde indicators via a modified ETA 2836-2 mechanical movement. The top arc indicates the minutes while the bottom arc displays the hours, with both featuring hands that snap back to their starting positions after reaching the ends of their respective cycles.
The bi-retrograde dance is anchored by a layered dial centre with a decorative carbon-fiber plate, referencing the material commonly used in the construction of Formula 1 racecars. For a finishing touch, the carbon fiber plate is stamped with a small-seconds counter to add to the watch’s instrument panel-like quality. Paired with a sporty leather strap with perforated holes, the dial is available in black or orange, and comes encased in a polished or black-PVD coated stainless steel case.
The Heures et Minutes Bi Retrograde is available in perforated strap in contrasting color stitching.
