Petermann B\u00e9dat<\/strong> is a young independent Swiss watchmaking brand founded by Ga\u00ebl Petermann<\/strong> and Florian B\u00e9dat<\/strong>. The brand is based in Renens, near Lausanne, Switzerland<\/strong>, where the duo operates its workshop and produces highly finished, small-series mechanical watches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The founders first met in 2007<\/strong> at the Geneva Watchmaking School<\/strong>, where their shared interest in traditional fine watchmaking began. Their partnership developed through years of training and work in Switzerland and Germany, including experience at A. Lange & S\u00f6hne<\/strong> and Harry Winston<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Petermann B\u00e9dat\u2019s independent venture began from their Renens workshop in 2017<\/strong>. That same year, the founders started developing their first watch with support from Dominique Renaud, the renowned complications specialist and co-founder of Renaud & Papi.<\/p>\n\n\n

The watch won the Horological Revelation Prize at the Grand Prix d\u2019Horlogerie de Gen\u00e8ve in 2020<\/strong>, establishing Petermann B\u00e9dat as one of the most respected new names in independent horology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The brand later strengthened its reputation with the Reference 2941 Split-Seconds Chronograph<\/strong>, a complex monopusher chronograph that won the Chronograph Watch Prize at GPHG in 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Petermann B\u00e9dat is known for extremely limited production, deep hand-finishing, technical complications, and a quiet, craft-led identity.
