The Pioneer Skeleton Retrograde Seconds strips everything away to reveal its mechanics, with a complication that refuses to sit still. Its retrograde hand sweeps across its scale for thirty seconds before snapping back to zero and setting off again. The complication takes centre stage against our fully skeletonised HMC 251 self-winding calibre. Did we mention it comes with a steel bracelet and a khaki rubber strap?

Functions

Instead of a traditional seconds hand that rotates once every 60 seconds, the retrograde seconds mechanism follows an arc and resets every 30 seconds, with the seconds hand swiftly returning to its starting position.

Sweep.
