Its newest creation, the Vox Temporis, unveiled at Geneva Watch Days 2026, takes an unusual approach to telling the time. There is a single fixed, arrow-shaped hand, and the dial itself rotates beneath it to indicate the hours. Nothing else appears on the dial, not even the logo. For the minutes, you listen: a slide on the case band between 8:30 and 9:30 activates a minute repeater, long regarded as the queen of complications, which chimes the hours, quarters, and minutes on two gongs. The name is Latin for "the voice of time," and it is meant literally.

A Tact Watch Heritage Dating to 1810

The idea has deep roots at L.Leroy. In 1810 the firm created a tact watch for the Prince of Hesse, now preserved at the Patek Philippe Museum, which let its owner read the time discreetly by touch, and the theme returned in 2025 with the Bal du Temps. The Vox Temporis carries that philosophy in a 43 mm Officer-style case, 14.74 mm thick including its hinged back cover, which recalls historic pocket watches and can be personalized on request. Three versions are offered: 18K 5N red gold with an anthracite dial and gilded hand, platinum with a blue dial and silver-toned hand, and grade 5 titanium with a silver dial and a blue ALD-treated hand. Each dial carries a radial guilloché flinqué pattern under translucent varnish, radiating from the peripheral pivot where the hand is anchored.

The Calibre L601SQR: Minute Repeater and Flying Tourbillon

Inside is the hand-wound calibre L601SQR, developed and manufactured in Geneva exclusively for L.Leroy. It joins the minute repeater to a flying tourbillon of 76 parts, deliberately hidden from the dial side; the full movement counts 321 components, runs at 3 Hz, and delivers a power reserve beyond 90 hours from a single barrel. Through the sapphire caseback, two mirror-polished hammers strike their gongs against a rhodium-plated single bridge with hand-executed bevels and frosted surfaces. Production is limited to 15 pieces across all three metals, each on an alligator strap with an openworked folding clasp in matching material.

L.
