Robert Mühle Kleine Sekunde
By introducing the 'R. Mühle & Sohn' manufacturing line, our company is now writing yet another chapter in its 145 years of history. This is above all owed to the two mechanisms: the Robert Muhle RMK 01 and RMK 02 calibre models. The hand-wound movement used in the Robert Muhle Kleine Sekunde and the movements of the other special edition model, which features an additional up/down module, were all designed in the spirit of classic Glashutte watchmaking. As a result, these Muhle movements are the first to sport an engraved balance cock and colourful screwed gold chatons.
They are also equipped with a virtually unheard-of three-fifth plate. Alongside the famous three-quarter plate, companies in Glashutte also use other types of cover plates on a regular basis. Mechanisms developed in the years prior to 1950 were equipped with a three-fifth plate and a separate escape wheel cock. With the back-to-the-roots approach of this rare plate design, we want to enhance the movement technology used today in Glashutte and introduce to all aficionados of fine mechanical movements an additional facet of the Glashutte watchmakers' inventive genius.
Typical for Muhle, the company's new manufactory-made calibres also explore new realms when it comes to their fine regulation. After all, the calibres contain Muhle-Glashutte's further development of the swan neck fine regulation, the particularly shockproof and patented woodpecker neck regulation.
