Robert Muhle Zeigerdatum Limited Edition of 100 Pieces
Mühle-Glashütte is now honouring the life and work of its founder with its new Robert Mühlespecial edition, which also breathes fresh life into a classic complication that is now a rare treasure: the date hand. As you would expect from a timepiece made in a genuine manufacturing workshop, the mechanism was personally designed by Mühle-Glashütte's expert watchmakers themselves. This exclusive characteristic is even more enhanced by the fact that this special edition watch is limited to a total of just 100 pieces.
The date window is one of the most commonly used complications in modern-day wristwatches. It is, however, a relatively young additional function, with the first watch using this type of date display not being produced until 1945. In contrast, the date hand is one of a number of complications that have been around for a long time but are only used on rare occasions in the present. The date hand was first used in a pocket watch back in as early as 1793.
