L.Leroy marks a new chapter in its long watchmaking history with the ELYOR tourbillon, a timepiece that reflects the Maison’s heritage of precision, craftsmanship, and innovation. The name “ELYOR” is an anagram historically used by Leroy during the French Revolution, when the brand’s original name sounded too closely associated with royalty. Introduced within the classic Osmior collection, the watch celebrates over two centuries of horological excellence. Founded in 1785 at the Palais Royal in Paris, L.Leroy became watchmaker to figures such as Napoleon I and Queen Victoria, earning hundreds of chronometry awards and creating iconic pieces including the legendary Leroy 01.

Produced in limited numbers, the ELYOR is offered in three distinct versions, each balancing classical elegance with contemporary refinement. The 42 mm tambour-shaped case is available in 18k 5N red gold, platinum, or grade-5 titanium, with a slim profile enhanced by a domed sapphire crystal. Multi-layered dials in anthracite, sky blue, or silver tones create distinctive visual identities, while applied Arabic numerals and a traditional “Clous de Paris” pattern add depth and texture. At six o’clock, the flying tourbillon takes centre stage, rotating once per minute beneath a polished titanium bridge bearing the brand’s double-L emblem.

Powering the watch is the L.Leroy L600 automatic calibre, developed in Geneva and composed of 288 components. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, the movement incorporates a micro-rotor for the first time in the brand’s history, delivering a 60-hour power reserve while maintaining a slim profile. Crafted from dense tungsten-based Inermet, the rotor ensures efficient winding. Through the sapphire caseback, collectors can admire the movement’s refined finishing, including perlage, polished bevels, and decorative bridges, showcasing the artistry that defines haute horlogerie.

Dial

Each dial version carefully highlights chromatic contrasts, aesthetic balance and the sophisticated elegance that defines the new ELYOR line. The multi-layered dial, which comes in three different shades, identifies each piece in this newborn line. The satin-finished hour track on the titanium model features an evergreen silver hue and L.Leroy’s signature applied Arabic numerals. The precious platinum version is paired with a light, sky-blue dial, obtained through ALD treatment, and applied Arabic numerals. Finally, the 5N gold case is combined with an anthracite dial with golden accents.

The centre of the dial boasts a refined “Clous de Paris” motif. A distinctive mark of luxury watchmaking in centuries past, it continues to be a highly prized technique today, mainly used on watches with a classic feel. Its decorative texture, made up of a network of small pyramids that stand out from the surface, captures the light, creating nice reflections and making the display look more 3D.

Apart from the beauty of its finishes, the real star of the dial is undoubtedly the eye-catching flying tourbillon positioned at 6 o'clock. Visible through an opening that showcases its complexity and allure, it is adorned with a mirror-polished titanium bridge bearing the intertwined double “L” monogram.

Calibre L600

At the core of the Elyor - indicating central hours, minutes, and seconds - is the L.Leroy L600 automatic calibre, developed exclusively for L.Leroy in Geneva.

Comprising no fewer than 288 components, this high-performance self-winding movement with a flying tourbillon features a variable-inertia balance-wheel operating at 21.600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz). For the first time in the brand’s history, it integrates a micro-rotor, whose high-efficiency winding system delivers a substantial 60-hour power reserve.

The flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock completes a full rotation every 60 seconds, enhancing precision by compensating for gravitational effects. Composed of 78 meticulously assembled components, this highly complex mechanism is crafted and regulated by expert watchmakers to ensure exceptional performance. A mirror-polished Grade 5 titanium bridge, shaped to reflect the Maison’s logo, crowns the tourbillon—uniting technical innovation with distinctive design.
