MeisterSinger Celebrates 100 Years of Freedom on Four Wheels

Dial 

Its two-layer construction takes inspiration from the distinctive wheels of the Ford Mustang. The lower matte-black level is engraved with fine concentric circles, while a second layer above features six striking silver-white spokes that create remarkable depth and dimensionality. The MeisterSinger logo is applied on an oval plaque, while the historic Route 66 emblem occupies a place in the lower section of the dial. The remaining details continue the edition’s black-and-red color scheme. A white single hand with a red tip provides a bold accent, while the circular arrangement of the double-digit hour numerals lends the display additional individuality. 

Case 

MeisterSinger’s iconic №03 serves as the foundation. With its clean, architectural case design and a diameter of 43 millimeters, it lends the edition a particularly confident presence and provides the ideal stage for its intricately crafted dial. The reverse side also embraces the theme of the edition: the sapphire crystal caseback features a semi-transparent print of the historic Route 66 shield and bears the individual engraving of the consecutive edition number. 

Movement

The Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic movement, which is specially modified for MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches, quietly ticks inside the Edition Route 66. The rotor provides the watch with a power reserve of 38 hours.

Features 

A century ago, in 1926, Route 66 was officially opened. Stretching nearly 2,500 miles from Chicago to the American West Coast, it quickly became one of the world’s most legendary highways. It served as a lifeline for travelers, vacationers, and adventurers alike, later becoming the backdrop for countless films, books, and songs. To this day, Route 66 remains a symbol of freedom, new beginnings, and the simple joy of being on the road. With the new Edition Route 66, MeisterSinger continues its successful series of special editions that pair a single-hand watch with an automotive icon and an elaborately designed collector’s presentation box. The Edition Route 66, limited to 100 pieces, is delivered together with a highly detailed model car (1:18). The elaborately designed presentation box depicts the legendary Route 66 and its characteristic desert landscape, creating a decorative stage for both the watch and the Mustang.

Reading a single-hand watch

Each line in the outer circle of MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches stands for exactly 5 minutes. The hand is therefore both an hour hand and a minute hand. For example, if the hand points to the fifth stroke after ten, the time is 10:25.

The line hierarchy typical of MeisterSinger single-hand watches additionally divides the time display into half and quarter hours, thus making it easier to read off the time accurately.
