About Michele Watches

About Michele Watches

Michele Watches, often abbreviated as MW, manage the impossible: they're always on trend while remaining classic and timeless in their overall aesthetic.

Combining materials like 18-carat gold, stainless steel, and carefully set diamonds, Michele watches are elegant without being stuffy and trendy without being gauche.

A perennial favorite among fashionistas, MW's collections of ladies watches adorn the wrists of celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, and Reese Witherspoon.

MW's collections are designed by women for women, a unique example of women's leadership in the horological industry.

Michele History

The brainchild of Jack Barouh, who learned his watchmaking skills from his father, Michele Watches is a third-generation company with roots in Belgium and Latin America.

Jack reimagined his father's legacy of precision, classic design, and exceptional attention to detail by launching a line of children's watches in 1995. An immediate success due to his uncanny ability to perceive and predict fashion trends, his daughter - and the company's namesake - joined the team in 2000, eventually emerging as the creative director.

That same year, MW launched the first Deco, an art-deco-inspired ladies watch featuring an elegant, feminine, fashion-forward design. Other collections followed, and the MW brand garnered international attention.

In 2004, the brand was purchased by the Fossil Group, which provided the logistics and commercial footprint to truly capitalize on multinational demand. And while the lion's share of WM's sales are in North America, the Caribbean, South America, the Middle East, and Asia are also important markets.

Despite these corporate changes, the Barouh family remains at the helm of Michele Watches, and Maurice Barouh's commitment to fine watchmaking is stronger than ever.

That can best be seen in the careful attention to detail you'll find in the overall design of these watches, their expertly crafted dials, intricate seven-link bracelets, and meticulously set diamonds.

Michele Collections

Michele Watches' collections are united by clean, timeless aesthetics that incorporate and predict current trends to remain stylish and fashionable.

They don't follow today's fashions - they create them.

Michele Sport

The Michele Sport collection, as its name suggests, is a more casual alternative to the metal bracelets and diamond accents of the Deco and Serien lines.

Sleek cases manufactured from polished stainless steel, also available in 18-carat gold, gold-tone, or pink-tone, are paired with exquisitely crafted dials and leather or silicone straps, depending on the particular model.

These timepieces are sure to turn heads in daily wear.

Michele Deco

The Deco was Michele's first design, and it has stood the test of time, evolving gradually since 2000.

Bold femininity and beautiful design are married in art-deco-inspired watches that tell everyone you lead rather than follow.

All Deco timepieces wear a diamond bezel and carefully set double-diamond indexes that are set off by a mother-of-pearl dial. While other bands might lean too heavily on these materials, Michele's careful attention to design and detail keeps this luxury within the bounds of beauty, offering a rich aesthetic that's elegant, refined, and tasteful.

The beating heart of the Deco collection is a Swiss chronograph movement that keeps precise time.

Michele Meggie

Michele's Meggie collection down-sizes the Deco without losing its magic.

The most petite of Michele's watches, these timepieces nevertheless maximize style. Polished stainless steel, gold-tone, or two-tone cases decorated with diamonds set in Michele's signature pattern are paired with double-diamond indexes and an inner ring of hand-set diamonds to create an elegant, show-stopping statement on your wrist.

Meticulously crafted 14mm seven-link bracelets in polished stainless, gold-tone, or two-tone finish the look.

Michele Serein

The Serein collection departs from rectangular, art-deco-inspired cases, offering classic round shapes and luxury to spare.

Made for milestones, each Serein watch is adorned with an outer ring of hand-set diamonds in the signature MW pattern, as well as an inner ring on the dial itself. The hand-applied markers are elegant Roman numerals, and three sub-dials balance the look without being busy.

Case materials include polished stainless steel, which can also be had in an 18-carat gold plate or a two-tone finish of these materials.

Meticulously crafted 14mm seven-link bracelets in polished stainless, gold-tone, or two-tone are sure to catch admiring eyes.

Best Selling Michele Watches

Michele Watches' designs are sought-after statement pieces and beautiful daily wearers.

And while all their models sell well, there are some perennial best sellers.

Michele Sporty Sport Sail Two-Tone Peony Silicone Watch

The Sporty Sail Two-Tone Peony Silicone is decidedly feminine without being delicate.

Featuring a polished stainless steel case with gold-tone accents, the white silver sunray dial and Roman numeral indexes three highlight gold-ringed sub-dials and gold hour, minute, and second hands.

Michele's signature crimson logo and matching hour marker on the lower dial enhance visual interest.

The Swiss chronograph movement is precise, and gold-tone pushers above and below the crown actuate the watch's function.

The look is finished with a pink 18mm silicone strap.

Bold without being brash, classic without being old-fashioned, Michele's Sporty Sport Sail Two-Tone Peony Silicone Watch is an ideal choice for daily wear.

Michele Deco Mid 18K Gold Diamond Dial Watch

Sophisticated elegance and understated luxury make the Michele Deco Mid 18K Gold Diamond Watch a favorite of celebrities and fashionistas everywhere.

The 18-carat gold-plated case and bracelet are polished to a soft, warm, buttery finish. The bezel is decorated with hand-set diamonds in MW's signature pattern, ringing a mother-of-pearl dial. Double-diamond indexes mark the hours for the hour and minute hands, and a running seconds dial at 6 o'clock balances the crimson logo marking the 12.

For women who wish to make a statement, Michele's Deco Mid 18K Gold Diamond Watch is just the right choice.

Michele Meggie Two-Tone Diamond Stainless Steel Watch

If your wrists are slender and your frame petite, oversized watches can look awkward and ugly.

Michele's Meggie Two-Tone Diamond Stainless Steel Watch is the perfect pairing for tiny wrists and delicate hands. The two-tone case, set with diamonds around the bezel, sets off a mother-of-pearl dial with both double-diamond indexes and an inner ring of hand-set stones.

Classic hour, minute, and second hands offer an elegant complement to the dial, bezel, and case.

Michele's Meggie Two-Tone Diamond Stainless Steel Watch proves that it's the little things that count.

Michele Serein Mid Stainless Steel Diamond Watch

Timeless luxury and sparkling elegance: that's what you see on the wrist of a woman wearing Michele's Serein Mid Stainless Steel Diamond Watch.

The round case of polished stainless supports a bezel set with 88 diamonds, matched by an inner ring of 46 diamonds to create brilliant balance. The silver sunray dial adds further visual interest, as do silver Roman numerals marking the hours.

A subdued date window at 6 o'clock is paired with the crimson MW logo just above the center of the dial, punctuating the pale beauty of this watch with just a touch of color.

Sleek, sophisticated, and perfect for a night on the town, Michele's Serein Mid Stainless Steel Diamond Watch is everything a discerning woman can want.

Michele Movements

Michele Watches uses Swiss-made quartz movements like the Ronda Caliber 1069 and ISA Caliber 8172/220.

These quality quartz movements offer several advantages, including precise accuracy, long battery life, low maintenance, and easy replacement should they become damaged.

Michele Watch Colors

Michele Watches' fashion-forward design maintains classic continuity by focusing on a few select metallic colors in its cases. These materials are often matched with hand-set diamonds in distinctive patterns, enhancing the luxurious look of MW's sought-after timepieces.

Most models are available in polished stainless steel, soft, buttery gold tones (or 18-carat gold plating), warm, rose tones, or smart two-tone options.

Their watches tend to have white, silver, or mother-of-pearl dials, often with diamond accents on the bezel, diamond markers on the dial, or both.

A deep crimson MW logo, as well as a crimson marking on the crown, add visual interest. These stylish markings are exclusive to this brand.

Metal bracelets and silicone or leather straps are available on Michele watches, and options of the same lug width are easily interchangeable.

As with the cases, the metal bracelets are available in polished stainless steel, soft gold tones, and two-tone finishes.

Michele offers straps in leather with embossed patterns like alligator, as well as classic calfskin for a casual look. Their silicone straps come in a wide range of colors, allowing nearly instant customizability.

Michele Watch Materials

Quality materials and exquisite craftsmanship set Michele Watches apart from its rivals.

Michele uses stainless steel as its primary material, selecting this metal for its durability and beauty when polished to a mirror finish.

But steel isn't the only option:18-carat gold is electroplated on select models and polished to a soft, warm luster.

As you'd expect from a fine watchmaker, MW uses sapphire crystals on all its timepieces, as this material is ultra-durable and very difficult to scratch.

MW is known for its beautiful dial designs, and the materials it uses include white ceramic and mother of pearl. The latter is a natural product, and its exact color and iridescence vary from watch to watch, adding a touch of the unique to each purchase.

And of course Michele Watches is legendary for its distinctive use of hand-set diamonds on the bezel and dial.

Michele Watch Types

MW offers a wide range of attractive styles across its collections.

The Deco, Meggie, and Serein include elegant statement pieces as well as watches suitable for daily wear. These timepieces will be fitted with metal bracelets.

The Sport collection, paired with leather or silicone straps, are more suitable for daily wear, casual clothing, or sports activities like tennis.

That's not to say that the Sport collection lacks savoir vivre - far from it. But these models drop diamonds for sleek, polished bezels and less decorative dials.

Suffice it to say that whichever Michele watch you choose, your wrist will never have looked bettered

Michele Watch Complications

When a watch is said to have complications, that simply means that iot has mechanical functions other than moving hour, minute, and second hands affixed to the center of the dial.

Some of Michele's watches offer exciting and beautiful complications like running second sub-dials, chronograph functions that act as stopwatches counting the seconds, minutes and hours, or date windows that display the day of the month.

Michele's chronograph watches harken to the original Deco, which debuted in 2000. Chronographs are offered in the Deco, Deco Sport, and Serein collections.
