Accutron 26A211 Spaceview 314 Tuning Fork Revival Steel
The Accutron Spaceview returns with their groundbreaking tuning fork technology that redefined time. Inspired by the original 1960’s model, the Spaceview 314 has a 39mm polished 904L stainless steel case with straight lugs and a crown at 4 o’clock and is paired with a black padded Italian calf leather strap with a double-press foldover clasp for a sleek and comfortable presence.
The new, hand-assembled Accutron Caliber Y230 is accurate to within two seconds per day, vibrating at 360hz to create the tuning fork’s signature F-sharp hum and smooth sweeping second hand.
Providing an unobstructed view of the movement, a domed sapphire crystal sits over the open dial, which features a silver-tone chapter ring with LumiNova hour markers and a matching handset. The movement is completed with modern materials such as silicium and Elinvar for improved efficiency and durability. Refined details include anglage and perlage with Côtes de Genève and frosted finishings are seen through the sapphire crystal. Experience an icon of watchmaking history made modern with the Accutron Spaceview 314.
A LEGEND IN THE MAKING
"ACCU-TRON"
Making a quantum leap, Max Hetzel, the Switzerland-based electronics engineering genius, made the first breakthrough advance in timekeeping in 300 years. By substituting the traditional main spring and balance wheels with electronic transistor circuitry, he pioneered tuning fork technology, making it the world’s first fully electronic watch aptly dubbed “Accu-tron” for accuracy through electronics.
