Mirrored Force Resonance Red: A New Pulse of Colour
The Mirrored Force Resonance is now presented in a vibrant new colour. Its vivid red off-centre guilloché dial is crafted using a traditional hand-operated rose engine lathe, allowing the radiating pattern to animate the surface with changing reflections.
The red dial creates a striking contrast that enhances depth and legibility.
The power of red.
The Mirrored Force Resonance is now presented in a vibrant new colour. Its vivid red off-centre guilloché dial is crafted using a traditional hand-operated rose engine lathe, allowing the radiating pattern to animate the surface with changing reflections. Framed by black azuré chapter rings, the dial creates a striking contrast that enhances depth and legibility. Facetted hour markers, mounted on the black azuré rings, hover just above the guilloché, visually linking the two elements while enhancing the dial’s visual identity.
On the left, two independent balance wheels oscillate in opposite directions, synchronising through Armin Strom’s patented Resonance Clutch. Their synchronised motion is reflected by the twin seconds displays, while anthracite-coated bridges provide a restrained architectural backdrop. The 43 mm stainless steel case is paired with a grey Alcantara strap, allowing the vibrant dial and the resonance mechanism to remain the centre of attention.
Resonance, Perfected.
Entirely designed, developed and produced in-house, the manufacture Calibre ARF21 integrates two complete, independent movements within a single calibre, each with its own barrel, gear train, escapement and regulating organ. Through Armin Strom’s patented Resonance Clutch, the vibrations of the two balance wheels are continuously exchanged, allowing them to enter and maintain harmonic resonance. The result is enhanced chronometric stability and improved rate consistency over time.
A pusher at 2 o’clock resets both seconds hands to zero simultaneously, allowing the wearer to visually monitor the synchrony of the two independent movements. Operating at 3.5 Hz (25,200 vibrations per hour) with a 48-hour power reserve, the ARF21 transforms one of watchmaking’s rarest physical phenomena into reliable chronometric performance.
Hand-Finished to the Finest Detail.
Visible through sapphire crystals on both sides, the movement showcases Armin Strom’s dedication to transparent mechanics and traditional hand-finishing. Hand-polished bevels, frosted surfaces, perlage and circular graining enrich the movement, while black-polished screws stand as a hallmark of the exceptional level of finishing throughout the calibre. A particularly distinctive detail appears on the reverse side, where the main plate features technical inscriptions executed in three-dimensional relief. Rising directly from the surface rather than being engraved into it, the lettering lends the movement a unique visual identity while reflecting Armin Strom’s meticulous attention to every detail. As with every Armin Strom timepiece, each watch is assembled twice to guarantee mechanical precision and finishing excellence.
With only 15 examples produced, the Mirrored Force Resonance Red reflects Armin Strom’s enduring pursuit of resonance through independent Swiss watchmaking.
