Inspiration
The project was born from the observation that the watch is held in a horizontal position most of the time, and that the tourbillon mechanism produces its gravity-compensating effect when in a vertical position. Collaboration and discussion with designer Benjamin Müller led to the idea of placing the tourbillon in a vertical position at the centre of the dial. To enhance the beauty of this astonishing mechanism, we chose a sapphire crystal for the case, the transparency of which allows the movement to be fully appreciated. We also opted for electric blue accents on the dial, a shade that ensures immediate readability and gives the watch a more contemporary style.

About the Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon Sapphire Blue
Limited to just 8 pieces, the new Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon Sapphire Blue, powered by the in-house manufacture hand-wound calibre CYR625, is distinguished by its modern look. An aesthetics that perfectly combines the precious sapphire crystal case with 18K white gold elements and details in a vibrant shade: electric blue. This colour gives this timepiece a more contemporary style, while at the same time being eye-catching and enabling the time to be read at a glance.
Designed by Jean-François Mojon, the master watchmaker behind all Cyrus Genève creations since 2010, this creation, with its retrograde jumping hour and retrograde minute functions, retains its unmistakable signature: the innovative tourbillon cage at the centre of the dial, set on a vertical axis at a 90° angle, ensuring excellent precision on the wrist. By doing this, Mojon breaks all the rules that traditionally set it horizontally.
