A rare edition of 25 pieces showcases a unique 12 o’clock index rendered in exclusive eastern Arabic calligraphy by master artist Wissam Shawkat, each accompanied by a signed certificate. A second edition of 100 pieces features a bold numeric “12,” emphasizing purity and balance. Czapek’s signature symmetry subtly elevates the design, while the date window at 6 o’clock reflects the Maison’s dedication to meticulous harmonious design. At the heart of the Antarctique Passage de Drake Sahara Sands beats the SXH5 automatic caliber, the first movement entirely conceived in-house by Czapek. Every component is crafted with precision by top Swiss manufacturing partners. The movement features a micro-rotor in recycled 950 platinum, allowing a clear view of its exceptional architecture. This automatic mechanical watch provides the highest level of precision with a free-sprung balance wheel and variable inertia, supported by seven skeletonized bridges that evoke the elegance of 19th-century pocket watches and modern Czapek designs.

The Antarctique Passage de Drake Sahara Sands is equipped with a brushed integrated bracelet that meshes to form a highly polished "C" for Czapek. The bracelet’s ergonomic design ensures comfort and lightness, allowing the timepiece to be worn effortlessly. The micro-adjustment system, introduced in January 2022, allows the wearer to extend the bracelet by a few millimeters for the perfect fit. Additionally, the watch comes with an exclusive quick-change system for switching between straps, offering versatility with rubber or leather alternatives.
