Introducing Favre Leuba's First Meteorite Dial
Favre Leuba brings cosmic materiality into the Deep Raider Renaissance in 2025 as it debuts its first meteorite dial, forged from Muonionalusta iron found in northern Sweden. The debut reflects the brand’s commitment to material-led innovation and precise craftsmanship. Each dial carries ancient Widmanstätten patterns formed in space over millions of years, ensuring that every timepiece remains visually singular and structurally unique.
Classic Fluidity
The Deep Blue Renaissance reinterprets the classic diver's watch for today's connoisseurs with its 300-meter water-resistant round case, executed masterfully in stainless steel. It is aesthetically modern with the dimensions, measuring 40mm in diameter and 12.69mm in thickness. The graceful contours of the case, along with the tapered lugs featuring polished chamfered edges, achieve an ideal balance between aesthetics and comfort. It is affixed with a unidirectional ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal glass.
Rooted In Cosmic Origins
Favre Leuba’s dial introduces Muonionalusta meteorite from northern Sweden, revealing its unique Widmanstätten patterns through precise cutting and acid treatment. Each fragment is carefully selected and refined, preserving its natural texture and durability giving every dial its own cosmic signature.
Each dial is crafted from natural stone, resulting in inherent variations in texture, pattern, and appearance. Accordingly, the stone dial of the actual timepiece may differ from that depicted in images. No two dials will look alike.
A Sandwich Construction
The Meteorite dial employs a sandwich construction set over a Super-LumiNova base, allowing light to shine through the cut-out indexes for bright, sharply defined hour markers. This layered design adds visual depth while delivering the high luminosity expected of a modern diver. Luminous hands ensure clear readability underwater and in low light, while a discreet round date window between four and five o’clock maintains a clean, balanced dial layout.
Underwater Ready
The Deep Blue Renaissance has a unidirectional diving bezel with a ceramic insert and ergonomic knurling. It features a neatly executed luminous pip at noon and a countdown marker to enhance functionality. The dial-complementing color choice gives the bezel an elegant and refined appearance.
Easily Interchangeable
The Deep Blue Renaissance is presented on a rubber strap to complement the dial and bezel. It is extremely comfortable on the wrist and comes with an ergonomic interchangeable strap system to ensure your adventures never cease.
Superior Driving Force
Designed and manufactured with high Swiss craftsmanship, FLD02 is a self-winding caliber. A testament to unrivaled accuracy and reliability, the movement is equipped with a date complication. It features a power reserve of 68 hours and delivers exceptional precision, beating at a 4Hz frequency.
Meticulously Finished
The watch offers a clear view of the immaculately decorated caliber through the sapphire crystal caseback. It carries superlative finishing on all the elements, meticulously executed with refined details, such as Côtes de Genève on the main plate, Soleillage finishing on the rotor, heat-treated blued crews and more.
Custom Skeletonized Design
The 4N rotor is skeletonized and custom-designed with the Soleillage finish. It bears the Favre Leuba monogram engraved as a medallion. Skeletonization of the rotor is an extremely precise task with more implications than just aesthetics. The weight and other characteristics of the rotor boast surgical precision to ensure winding efficiency.
Visibility Under All Conditions
The hands, indexes, and 12 o'clock marker on the diving bezel have a radium-like lume that offers excellent visibility in the dark.
