CASE
The Brunswick’s elegant 38mm cushion-shaped case has no flat surfaces. The case’s graceful curves are machined from 316L stainless steel, to a level usually reserved for precious metals. The depth of the polish showcases the sophistication of the machinery and the skill of the operator.
The Brunswick 38 'Charcoal Rose' is manually wound each day using our bespoke ‘onion’-shaped winding crown, signed with the Fears Cypher. The crown’s fine grooves catch the light, adding a touch of radiance to the edge of the case.
CASEBACK
The Brunswick 38 'Charcoal Rose' comes with the option of either:
Open exhibition caseback - offering an unobstructed view of the finely decorated movement housed inside.
DIAL
The Brunswick 38 'Charcoal Rose' reimagines classic elegance with a contemporary multi-tonal dial that draws inspiration from the subtle hues found throughout the Fears' Archive. Its granular textured charcoal base provides an sophisticated backdrop for the accents of 18ct rose gold (the first time this finish has featured in the modern Fears era).
Expertly made in Germany, this multi-level dial feature a granular charcoal finish on the main central section, with the prominent sunken sub-seconds at 6 o'clock and the minute track seen here with a fine concentric guilloche finish in 18ct rose gold.
The hand-applied numerals are milled from a block of brass before being diamond polished, frosted, a base coating in pure silver and then finished in 18ct rose gold, giving them a bright and unmissable appearance. In order to strike an equal balance between classic and contemporary we've developed a special wider set of our proprietary 'Edwin' numerals specifically for this reference.
HANDS
The Brunswick 38 'Charcoal Rose' features iconic ‘Fears’-shaped hands expertly made in Germany, they are milled from solid brass with a bevel cut down the centre using a diamond tool.
The hour and minute hands feature a lightly frosted finish before receiving their coating of 18ct rose gold to perfectly match the polished 3D numerals, whereas the seconds hand is coated in contrasting black varnish.
MOVEMENT
The Brunswick 38 'Charcoal Rose' is powered by a Swiss-made, manual winding La Joux-Perret D100 movement. This movement is the top-grade version, with an extended 50 hour power reserve and finished with Côtes de Genève and blued screws.

INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED
Each watch we make carries a unique serial number. Engraved between the 20mm lugs at 12 o’clock, this number helps us identify your watch and its history.
AMOS BOX
All Fears watches are presented in a slim, rectangular, wooden box made of solid ash and stained in our bespoke shade of blue. This luxury box was inspired by traditional slim Fears watch boxes used in the past, in which the watch lies flat. Recognising the company's heritage, we called this box the Amos, after the names of both the 2nd and 3rd Managing Directors.
The top of the box is discreetly engraved with the Fears logo and features a gentle bevel around its edges, whilst the interior is lined in genuine cream suede. The box is secured by a polished chrome push button, keeping your watch safe and secure.
