The Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin 250 is an exceptional limited edition created to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the United States. This timepiece pays tribute not only to a defining moment in world history, but also to the deep connection between Laurent Ferrier and the American collectors who first recognized and supported the Maison’s vision.
Housed in a 40mm Grade 5 titanium case inspired by the smooth contours of a pebble shaped by waves, the Classic Origin 250 features an opaline beige dial with a subtly patinated appearance. Warm brown accents highlight the railway minute track, central cross, and markers, while red calligraphic initials of the thirteen original colonies replace traditional numerals around the dial. The text of the Declaration of Independence is delicately printed in tone-on-tone beige, revealing itself depending on the light, while the iconic phrase “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” and the dates “1776–2026” remain clearly visible in red.
At its heart beats the hand-wound Laurent Ferrier calibre LF116.01, visible through the sapphire caseback. This refined movement features a screw balance with a curved Breguet-type hairspring, delivering enhanced chronometric performance and an impressive 80-hour power reserve. The movement is meticulously hand-finished, with sandblasted bridges coated in black rhodium and polished edges throughout.
Limited to just 25 pieces and exclusively dedicated to the Americas, the Classic Origin 250 is paired with a hand-stitched brown calfskin leather strap and titanium pin buckle—an understated yet powerful expression of horological craftsmanship, history, and timeless elegance.
