Meistersinger ED-PM99-24H Pangaea 24 Hour Edition
Dial
The dial features a steel blue sunburst finish – vibrant in the light yet exuding a calm elegance. The even hour numerals are applied in gold, lending the dial a sense of depth and brilliance. Instead of the usual 5-minute markings, alternating fine lines and dots on the edge of the dial indicate 15-minute increments.
Case
The slender stainless steel case is 40 mm in diameter, water-resistant up to 5 bar, and fitted with a domed sapphire glass over the dial. The movement can be easily viewed through the sixfold screwed glass exhibition back as it performs its high-precision task. Each watch case back bears its own edition number.
Movement
The Swiss Sellita SW330 automatic movement, which is specially modified for MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches, quietly ticks inside the Edition 24H. The rotor provides the watch with a power reserve of 52 hours.
Features
Like no other watch brand, MeisterSinger stands for a relaxed understanding of time – an atti-tude clearly expressed in its single-hand watches. MeisterSinger is now taking this principle one step further with its new 24-hour edition, as the single hour hand does not circle the dial twice a day, as is usually the case, but only once, allowing you to see the entire day at a glance. The watch does not artificially divide the day into two halves, but rather tells the story of the 24-hour period as a whole, in a natural, uninterrupted flow – a concept perfectly in keep-ing with the MeisterSinger philosophy. Limited to 100 pieces worldwide.
Reading a single-hand watch
Each line in the outer circle of MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches stands for exactly 5 minutes. The hand is therefore both an hour hand and a minute hand. For example, if the hand points to the fifth stroke after ten, the time is 10:25.
The line hierarchy typical of MeisterSinger single-hand watches additionally divides the time display into half and quarter hours, thus making it easier to read off the time accurately.
