Meistersinger PMN9908AV Pangaea Aventurine
Dial
The deep blue aventurine captivates the eye with its characteristic shimmer, created by countless sparkling inclusions suspended in the material. These reflect the light and produce the so-called aventurescence – a special brilliance with a lively sparkle that lends each dial its unique depth and radiance. The typography is reminiscent of historical dials, giving the watch a somewhat nostalgic character. The gold-colored, multi-printed numerals stand out vividly to create a sophisticated three-dimensional effect. Instead of the usual 5-minute line markers, fine dots are used to signify the passage of time. The design is rounded off by the exquisitely crafted MeisterSinger hour hand, harking back to an era when watches were still worn on a chain.
Case
The elegant, slender stainless steel case of the Pangaea Day Date is 40 mm in diameter, water-resistant up to 5 bar, and fitted with a domed sapphire glass over the dial. The movement can be easily viewed through the sixfold screwed glass exhibition back as it performs its high-precision task.
Movement
The Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic movement, which is specially modified for MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches, quietly ticks inside the Pangaea. The rotor supplies the automatic movement with a 41-hour power reserve.
Features
Aventurine enchants with its characteristic aventurescence – a sparkling effect that reflects the light in a unique way, giving every dial depth and vibrancy. Each dial is a true one of a kind, showcasing the material’s natural beauty with timeless elegance.
Reading a single-hand watch
Each line in the outer circle of MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches stands for exactly 5 minutes. The hand is therefore both an hour hand and a minute hand. For example, if the hand points to the fifth stroke after ten, the time is 10:25.
The line hierarchy typical of MeisterSinger single-hand watches additionally divides the time display into half and quarter hours, thus making it easier to read off the time accurately.
