Sometimes it is 360,000 kilometers away from Earth, sometimes 405,000 kilometers. Sometimes we see it as a narrow, white crescent, sometimes it creates magical nights as a blood-red full moon: Earth's moon holds a very special fascination for us. The Teutonia IV Moonphase now brings it directly to our wrists. With its dial in elegant gold and anthracite tones, it provides information about the different phases of the moon in a particularly stylish way.
Ground sides
The middle section of the high-quality case is finished with a vertical cut, which is applied by hand, while the tops of the volute-shaped horns are finely polished.
The Moon phase
Under a specially shaped dial window, an approx. 10 mm moon disk rotates once around itself in 59 days. The moon can be found on it twice. Thus, the approx. 29.5-day lunation is displayed in realistic one-day increments. The moon is displayed very realistically by imitating the craters of the real thing, which is about 384,000 km away.
Precious gold and anthracite
The moon phase display is embedded in an anthracite-colored dial with gold-plated applied indices and a clearly structured minute track, whose fine second and minute numerals are also finished in an elegant gold tone. This color concept is consistently continued in the lancet-shaped hour and minute hands and the filigree second hand.
