In 2025, Bell & Ross launched the BR-X3 Tourbillon Micro-Rotor: a manufacture movement integrating a tourbillon and micro-rotor in the iconic square case. In 2026, the brand continued this momentum with the launch of the BR-X3 Micro-Rotor. It expressed a firm conviction: Fine watchmaking is not limited to complications.
Function in its purest form
The movement on the BR-X3 Micro-Rotor is semi-skeletonised, but here the skeletonisation is not merely a removal of material: it follows a deliberate structure, a composition. Vertical and horizontal bridges form a metal grid with a highly precise, geometric design. This watch follows in that tradition: graphic and architectural. Telling the time is kept to the essentials: Two photoluminescent hands indicate the hours and minutes, blending into the dial’s grid pattern.
The square: A manifesto on construction
The BR-X3 Micro-Rotor features the brand’s iconic square and its four signature screws. Here, the square goes beyond visual identity: it becomes structural. The case and movement are one. The case middle directly supports the bridges of the movement, creating a radical construction based on three parts: a central steel plate forming the movement-case middle assembly, sandwiched between two sapphire crystals – one on top and another below.
