The Senator Meissen Edition is a commitment to traditional craftsmanship, maximum precision down to the smallest detail and human creativity. Its elegant red gold case with a diameter of 40 mm frames a delicate, celadon green porcelain dial with ornamental “Mystic Maison” decoration. This masterpiece is limited to 150 pieces worldwide and is complemented by a blue Louisiana alligator leather strap.
Homage to the art of porcelain
The MEISSEN dial consists of a razor-thin porcelain disc, which is first fired at 1,400°C and then carefully examined to ensure high quality and a perfectly flat surface. The decoration, lettering and Roman numerals are then applied by hand in several layers using fine brushes. Each layer is fired in a kiln at 900°C to achieve the desired depth of colour.
Celadon green dial
The colour scheme of this dial evokes the origins of porcelain art. The Rocaille elements of the ornamental “Mystic Maison” decoration unfold on a celadon green background. The colour refers to the ceramic of the same name, which was produced in China as early as the 9th century. The hour and minute displays are deliberately kept to a minimum in order to give the decoration space.
Elaborate manufactory movement
Inside this artistic timepiece ticks the elaborately finished manufactory Calibre 36, equipped with a silicon balance spring for maximum accuracy and a running time of 100 hours. The movement has a balance stop for precise time setting. In addition, the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal case back reveals typical features of Glashütte watchmaking.
