The SBGR299 is part of a new collection of Grand Seiko mechanical watches. It is also one of the largest Grand Seiko watches offered and manufactured by Seiko. It has a Japanese automatic movement. The Grand Seiko timepieces always acknowledge the classic elements of the genre with manually wound movements, slim stainless-steel cases, and straightforward legibility. Its MEMS manufacturing processes delivers accuracy and the silver band provides stability. This watch is accurate, legible, durable and easy to carry.
The SBGR299 has a 9S61 movement with precise caliber showcasing a classic aesthetic and a slender form. The stainless steel case has a round shape with a satin finish made with solid AISI 316L steel and a highly polished finish bezel. The Grand Seiko SBGR299 is H47.9mm x W42mm x D13.1mm with a body weight of 174 g. It was released in May 2017.
The thing that makes classic watches truly iconic is the irreducibility of their design. The SBGR299 has a drive, self-winding system with 9S mechanical manual capacity and a 3-day power reserve. This sporty EDC can work for official occasions as well.
The watch is equipped with see-through sapphire crystal glass. The dial and color of the Grand Seiko watch is mainly silver-toned glass and its display type is analog. There is a shiny lubricant applied on the indexes as well as the hour and minute hand, confirming the EDC aspirations which are strengthened by 100m of water resistance. This timepiece has a sapphire anti-reflective coating covering the sapphire crystal. The stainless steel band has a silver shiny color. The Grand Seiko SBGR299 has a deployant style buckle with a spring release button and the Grand Seiko logo.
The case back of this outstanding watch has a screw-down style case with sapphire observation crystal. The see-through case back has the Grand Seiko Lion emblem and 33 jewels. It has a DS system composed of sapphire glass and a strengthened case back, special movement mounting on the elastic ring, and a double gasket on the crown.
