Meistersinger ED-PM99-24HE Pangaea 24 Hour Edition
Dial
The dial of the 24H Enamal Edition features a delicate material and a complex, elaborate manufacturing process that is now mastered by only a few specialists worldwide: Enamel. The design of the dial follows the historic “365” style, characterized by its elegant numerals and finely drawn typography. The intricately designed hour hand has been painstakingly blued by the application of heat. The 24H Enamel Edition can also be used as a compass during the daylight hours. For this purpose, the four cardinal compass points are printed at 6, 12, 18, and 24 hours: O for east, S for south, W for west, and N for north. If you position the watch horizontally, i.e. parallel to the ground, with the hand pointing towards the sun, the printed compass points will reliably indicate north, south, east, and west.
Case
The slender stainless steel case is 40 mm in diameter, water-resistant up to 5 bar, and fitted with a domed sapphire glass over the dial. The movement can be easily viewed through the sixfold screwed glass exhibition back as it performs its high-precision task. Each watch case back bears its own edition number.
Movement
The Swiss Sellita SW330 automatic movement, which is specially modified for MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches, quietly ticks inside the Edition 24H Enamel. The rotor provides the watch with a power reserve of 56 hours.
Features
The new 24H Enamel Edition is a watch made for true enthusiasts – a piece of living watch-making craftsmanship that embodies MeisterSinger’s philosophy of slowing down to savor the moment. With its enameled dial, hand-crafted using traditional techniques, and its unusual 24-hour display, it invites the wearer to appreciate time and experience it at a leisurely pace. Limited to 25 pieces worldwide.
Reading a single-hand watch
Each line in the outer circle of MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches stands for exactly 5 minutes. The hand is therefore both an hour hand and a minute hand. For example, if the hand points to the fifth stroke after ten, the time is 10:25.
The line hierarchy typical of MeisterSinger single-hand watches additionally divides the time display into half and quarter hours, thus making it easier to read off the time accurately.
