The design of the dial intentionally echoes the timeless aesthetics of classic pocket watches. The combination of sweeping typography in the signature MeisterSinger 365 style, slender hour markers, and additional dots for each five-minute interval give the timepiece its distinctive look. An inner printed ring of numerals draws attention to the true preciousness of time, revealing just how many priceless minutes are hidden within every hour of a lifetime. The intricately heat-blued hand, with its extra-long overhang, ideally completes the watch’s historically inspired appearance.
For the first time, a MeisterSinger enamel edition is presented in a 40-mm case, crafted exclusively for the Unitas 1Z Edition and designed to give the movement the ideal showcase.The elegant stainless steel case is 40 mm in diameter, water-resistant up to 5 bar, and fitted with a domed sapphire glass over the dial. You can admire the captivating mechanical watch movement at work through the expansive exhibition case back.
The Unitas 1Z Edition is powered by the legendary Unitas 6497 pocket watch caliber – a movement now found only very rarely in wristwatches. Its generous proportions and the clari-ty of its architecture elevate it to one of the most captivating mechanical watch movements ever made. For this edition, it has been meticulously adorned with Geneva stripes. The swan-neck regulator not only looks impressive, but also makes it possible to adjust the accuracy of the movement with exceptional precision. For enhanced timekeeping stability, this movement runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour rather than the usual 18,800 semi-oscillations. The power reserve is 46 hours.
