The B/1.2 wears its architectural DNA openly. Phil Toledano—the collector behind Mr. Enthusiast—designed this destro-crowned piece to echo the angular concrete forms of Marcel Breuer's brutalist buildings. The result: a 33.5mm watch that looks like nothing else on your wrist.
The Concept
Toledano & Chan emerged from a collector's frustration with homogenous watch design. The B/1.2's trapezoidal case and asymmetrical, faceted jewel-like sapphire crystal—drawing inspiration from the sculptural language of Grima and Genta—reference 1970s jewelry-watches and brutalist architecture. Think raw geometry rather than polished convention. The Tahitian mother-of-pearl dial shifts between silver, green, and pink depending on the light, adding organic warmth to the concrete-inspired form.
Who This Is For
If you collect design objects as much as watches—if you'd rather own something by Ettore Sottsass than another submariner homage—the B/1.2 delivers. The destro crown and compact case make this equally suited to smaller wrists or anyone tired of 40mm+ defaults.
