Since 1984, he has worked as an independent watchmaker, starting primarily working on restoring clocks, and then later as a developer.

Halter made his first wristwatch of his own in 1998, with the launch of the Antiqua Perpetual Calendar. This debut positioned him as a pioneer of modern independent watchmaking, long before it became one of the most exciting spaces in watchmaking. La Resonance

After developing the Deep Space models, La Resonance features a movement without a mainplate, and two balances wheels mounted on top of each other to achieve acoustic resonance, making for each balance wheel to oscillate in synchronicity, minimizing timing deviations. The case is made out of titanium, and features sapphire glass inserts in the side of the case, in addition to sapphire crystals front a rear, allowing for full viewing of the movements mechanisms.

Deep Space

Consisting of two models, the Deep Space Tourbillon and Deep Space Resonance, both of which feature a rotating balance, and a design influenced by space exploration and science fiction, realized by all four dimensions being represented in moving components of the watch, width, depth, length, and time. With a large domed sapphire crystal, the depth and activity within the movement is accentuated, making for a statement of Halter’s horological expression. With a decentralized timing of the 3-axis rotation for the tourbillon, the movement of the balance is constantly shifting, making for a truly unique visual display.

Art Deco

The Art Deco model takes its design cues from 1920’s architecture, with a highly sculpted case, beveled sapphire glass, and faceted dial decoration with art deco numerals. This model is Halter’s horological interpretation of the roaring 20’s. The case features large faceted 18k rose gold rivets and a large 18k rose gold accented crown, inspired by the Belgian 12 locomotive, tying in Halter’s influence of his father’s career in train travel.
