Inspired by Chinese culture, BEHRENS' mechanical creativity bursts forth once again. The spirit of Chinese martial arts, which is based on the principles of "combining strength and softness, and cultivating both inside and outside", has been incorporated into the art of high-end watchmaking by means of craftsmanship and professional watchmaking techniques.
Collaborating with Mr. Qian Guobiao, a veteran independent watchmaker, BEHRENS brings forth a unique fusion of tradition and innovation.
The overall design of the watch dial is inspired by the half-liang coin of the "Qin Dynasty" (B.C. 221- B.C.207) in China, demonstrating the oriental wisdom of "round on the outside, square on the inside".
The power reserve display, inspired by the "plum blossom stakes" used in traditional Chinese martial arts practice, features a lifting running pointer, making the watch uniquely ornamental and interesting.
The hands of KUNG FU are inspired by crossbows from the Qin Dynasty. The design is exquisite and powerful, embodying the rich history and cultural heritage of ancient China.
Some parts of the watch are meticulously mirror-polished by hand, with Mr. Qian Guobiao personally participating, inheriting the essence of traditional watchmaking and ensuring exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
BEHRENS's original balance, regulating pins, and polarization separation structural system. The unique "hanging" balance-cock ensures the absolute level of balance in the device.
The watch strap is crafted with premium hand-stitched alligator leather by "Watchoosy". Hand-sewn by artisans using the traditional double-needle saddle stitch" technique, the strap is not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable and long-lasting.
