The most unique aspect of the Bell & Ross BR-X5 watches is their remarkable resemblance to the gauges found in aircraft cockpits. Each has the same dial layout, with a subdial at nine o'clock showing the power reserve and a unique date complication at three. Designed like an altimeter, three consecutive dates are shown top to bottom with an arrow pointing to the current date in the middle.
Other watches have a square case and round dial, but the Bell & Ross BR-X5 timepieces have a screw at each of the four case corners, and the shape further enhances the aircraft instrument look. Each timepiece in the collection has a water resistance of 100 m, making them suitable for swimming.
